Does he appear in a certain place for everyone or is it random for every person? Where should I find him?

He may not spawn in some cases if you have a quest that alters the area he's in

Plus he changes location every Monday morning.

The version of Nick in pre-sear ascalon is always in the same place and on a set schedule for what he collects. See the wiki.
